Why People Love Valentine's Day

in Love

Love There is many forms of love and there are many ways to express it. There's the love from a friend to a friend, a dog to his master, even from a man to a football team. Most commonly and romantically there is the love between a man and a woman for each other. And how is this love expressed, for a start it isn't expressed specifically on one day, but on all the other days of the year as well as 14 February. Valentine's Day – is a day for couples to show their love for their partner. Every February 14 of the year, across the India and in other places around the world, toffee, flowers, cards and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine, but who is this mysterious saint, and where did this society come from? Find out about the history of this centuries-old holiday, from ancient Roman rituals to the customs of Victorian England. The story of Valentine's Day — and its patron saint — is covered in secrecy. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance.

While some believe that Valentine's Day is celebrated in the middle of February to honor the centenary of Valentine's death or interment — which possibly occurred about 270 A.D — others claim that the Christian place of worship may have decided to celebrate Valentine's feast day in the middle of February in an effort to "Christianize" celebrations of the pagan Lupercalia, was a very ancient, possibly pre-Roman pastoral festival, observed on February 13 through 15 to avert evil spirits and purify the city. In ancient Rome, February was the official commencement of spring and was measured a time for sanitization. Houses were ritually cleansed by sweeping them out and then sprinkling salt and a type of wheat called spelt throughout their interiors. Lupercalia, which began at the ides of February, February 15, was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.

People on Valentine's Day, wish for you lots of sweet, special little Valentine's needs, they think outside the Valentine's box and do something kind for your elderly neighbor or the postman that goes out of his way to bring you your mail. Maybe this is your year to make a bold, romantic statement to that someone special.

In simple word we say that people loves valentine day because they dedicated to love, lovers, affection, and, on occasion, desperation as well. No other holiday inspires quite so much confidence in people who feel that on this one day, every year, they are given the chance to pursue their true love unbound by the normal rules of human decency. Thus adorned with hearts, bows, flowers, chocolates, and all style of pink and red our noble hero marches toward certain dishonor.
