Teaching kids to love

Different families and cultures have different views when it comes to this topic. I for one believe that we get one chance to live and love - and we need to make most of this. Being affectionate and loving by physical expression is something we cultivate in our children's life at a vert early age, it becomes a part of their life. If they are not exposed to affection, they get uncomfortable when someone expresses it.

For example, the simple act of hugging. It is a very powerful and intense way of showing someone you care - I'm talking about a deep, true hug from the heart. Certain cultures frowns upon physical expression of love and their life goes on without this beautiful feeling of a hug. A lot of people who experience a real hug for the first time, burst into tears - as it break all barriers and lets your guard down.

Teaching children to be loving to one another by expressing it, is very important in building relationships.

Once you let them in your personal place, it is easier to trust and share your life with them. This goes for friends, families, partners and any relationship in this world.

A good way to start would be to show our children an abundance of physical love. You can also treat them with a big hug or kiss when they do something right. Encourage them to express their love to family and friends too. What our world is lacking at the moment is love, to make everyday brighter. Lets do our part and teach the generations to come - the magic of the expression of love.

The next step would be for them to learn to share - sharing their life as well as possessions. Get them to share their toys, food and books with other kids - and in return they will enjoy their play time more.
